I have just installed this version on my laptop (Toshiba Tecra 720 CDT w/ port replicator) and have a couple of issues

Problem 1:
The PCMCIA controller is not enabled by default.  I seem to recall not having to edit any files in a previous versions (I don't remember the last version of Linux I had on this box) in order to enable the PCMCIA controller.  Is this true or is this a problem with the latest build?  BTW, had to edit /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia and change PCMCIA=yes and PCIC=i82365.  If I am using CardBus mode, should the PCIC setting be different?  How/Where do I find the values that this parameter can recognize?

Problem 2:
This laptop has both PCIC and CardBus modes for the PCMCIA controller.  In CardBus mode, it recognizes my non-cardbus ethernet cards as memory cards NOT ethernet cards.  This is a big problem, assuming I have the settings right in the pcmcia file.  If I switch it to PCIC mode, the cards work fine.

Problem 3:
I can't use the PCMCIA slots in the port replicator if I am using PCIC mode.  Cardbus mode is the only mode that seems to activate the slots in the replicator.  Is that a problem with Linux or with layout of the hardware?

Any insight is appreciated.  I was going to just enter bugs but thought I would get some feedback first.

Thanks,

Jeff
