I have a TGUI 9680 w/ a default of 1024x768 @16bpp and a monitor that
can do 1280x1024 @ 60hz, and no matter how many times I run Xconfigurator
(same tool as when I run setup) or xf86config, I can't run anything
besides 800x600 w/ out my screen flickering w/ a little color, and having
to go back to change my config. Run Xconfigurator and see if you have
better luck. I get this msg when starting X : ".X authority not
writeable, changes will be ignored". Could this have something to do w/
not being able to make any changes to my resolution?
Also, on the subject of resolution, does anyone know if there's
anti-aliasing (or "font-smoothing") in L-M 6.1, or where such a utility
can be obtained? Thanks.
