[newbie] Problem with XWindow

I have LinuxMandrake, SiS5598 VideoCard build in Asus mainboard, Cyrix 6x86, 64Mb Ram and Microsoft compatibile mouse. If I run XWindow I will not see some words, texts on my windows... I will only see black area. What can I do with it?
