Ok. Reboot, then at the LILO prompt, type linux 1 or "linux
single" (either one should work.) This will get you to a
single-user mode where you can change the "root" password
by typing "passwd root" at the command prompt (minus
quotes, of course.) Then, you can either run mouseconfig
from there or reboot back, get to "X" and then run
mouseconfig from an SU console window.
