You might also try tomsrtbt, a single floppy distro. it has lilo on it and you
can use it to run the "lilo remove" command ( http://www.toms.net )
What seems strange is that nt is not installing it's bootloader in the mbr over
lilo. Are you booting from the nt floppies or the cd? Does the install complete
and then not load, or just not boot after installation?
