Hi,
I just installed an Epson Stylus Color 800 printer on Mandrake 6.1
2.2.13-7mdk. I set up the printer with printtool, choosing the Epson
Stylus Color (UP) filter and the stc800pl (360 x 360 dpi) color depth.
It's working fine, but what is the command for printing at higher
resolution? I was reading the ghostscript documentation on the uniprint
driver. It says that to select higher resolution, the command is
gs @{select}.upp -sOutputFile=/dev/lp{*} file.ps -c -quit
If I select a higher resolution upp file, like stc800p.upp for 720 x 720
dpi, I get a screen of errors, like this
[kim@weaver kim]$ gs @stc800p.upp -sOutputFile=/dev/lp0
/sigourney/kim/avant.ps -c quit

What's the problem here? I can print at higher resolution by going into
printtool and changing the color depth, but that's a pain. How can I
change print resolution from the command line? Thanks,
Hidong
