[newbie] sound problem

Hi, I had just installed mandrake 6.1. I have a VIA chipset onboard sound. I did download the kudzu, newbt_30 and sndconfig_38. It somehow get to detect my sound chip. However I keep on getting this message.   modprobe error /lib/modules/2.2.13-4mdk/misc/sb.o: init_module: sound: device or resouce busy.   I did go into the /etc/conf.modules to delete the aliases, but still I get this error? Please help me this....thank you
