Wow, I couldnt really decifer all of that but let me
see if I can help, try these different commands write
down the output;

"cat /proc/modules" - checks the loaded modules
"cat /proc/ioports" - checks the I/O
"cat /proc/pci" - checks all PCI slots for hardware
"cat /proc/interrupts" - checks the IRQ's

run "linuxconf" and set the information from all of
the previous commands up for eth1, make sure your IP
and subnets are good.

Look in /etc/conf.modules, mine reads like this.

alias eth0 3c59x
alias eth1 tulip
alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc
options tulip irq=5 io=fc00
options 3c59x io=f880 irq=11

if the module you need is listed then try;

"insmod ewrk3"
"ifup eth1" then do a ifconfig -a and it should be up.

Next your should follow the instructions for IPCHAINS,
and create your "rc.firewall"
(http://www.linuxnewbie.org/nhf/intel/network/ipchains.html)

in /etc/rc.d/, be sure that you
"echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward"
and edit your /etc/sysconfig/network from;
FORWARD_IPV4=no
 to
FORWARD_IPV4=yes

do this;
"/sbin/ipchains -M -S 7200 10 160"

and
"/sbin/ipchains -P forward DENY "
"/sbin/ipchains -A forward -s 192.168.0.0/24 -j MASQ"

There is alot to cover but the info is all there. Good
luck
