Hi,

When I updated /etc/inittab file, I renamed the
original as /etc/inittab_org, and then edit this file.
When I saved this file, I forgot to save it as
"inittab". As a result, there's no more inittab file.

When I reboot my computer, the Linux-Mandrake
complains there's no inittab file. And then it asks
me to enter a 'run level'. I tried with 3, 5, and then
1. Regardless of my selection, the Linux says
"no remaining processes for the run level selected.",
and everything stops there.

Can someone tell me how to recover my inittab file?
Or, is there way to load Linux successfully without
inittab?

Please help,
Thanks,

Hitoshi Onda (Linux newbie)
