This modem is Definitely a Winmodem!
I know because I had the misfortune of setting one up in a friends
Winblows machine and then having to explain to
him why his computer worked like a cow whenever
the modem was in use (a P166).
A bit of trivia now, US Robotics once marketed (and may still)
a so called Sportster modem that was actually a PCI
Winmodem that used the "Telepath" drivers.
So my friend thought he was buying a proper USR Sportster
and ended up with a crummy Winmodem.
Makes you think doesn't it :-(
