I am totally new in Linux!!

I am trying to install Mandrake 6.5 into my Sony VAIO PCG-C1 notebook.

This notebook came with a USB Version Floppy disk drive, without built-in
CD-ROM drive, all I can do is boot up the installation program from the
Set-up CDROM from my PCMCIA CDROM Drive. But the program request me to
insert the floppy disk that contains the PCMCIA drive, even I had created
this disk on hand, but the program can't detect my USB floppy disk drive.

Is there any way to install Mandrake 6.5 boot from a PCMCIA CDROM Drive with
using Floppy Disk?
