to work correctly. I was browsing around, and found somewhere where it listed
it as a sound device, yet under lothar, it says other device. I have no
sound, and have not a clue how to get it to work.

If your sound card is supported, just login as root and from a command line
run "sndconfig" w/o quotes. That should automagically set it up.

it? If I use it's jumpers to make it non pnp, windows won't find it, and
linux finds it but won't use it. Please help.

I'm not sure (others on this list will be ;o)), but try finsing out how
windows has it set up (irq, port, etc) and try using the same settings for
linux.
