Thanks to Merle Pittman, who told me I could do a text install. This was necessary since the graphic version's "fdisk" will not work with just keyboard input. The install does not recognize my serial mouse, because I have a PS/2 port, and the install thinks I should be using it. <g> To run the text install, it was necessary to type "linux text" at the boot: prompt. Everything went very smoothly, and I elected to format over my 6.1 installation. Someone lamented the fact that there's no Install Everything option now. I selected Expert-Development, and I was present with a short list of package types in which everything was selected. I unselected "Web Server" and "Network Management Workstation" only. I'm glad to be running 7, whether it's 7.0 or 7.0-2 (but I'm going to check!) -- Lane ____ Lane Lester / Madison County, Georgia USA Getting where I want to go with Linux...
