Hi,

Ok..so I installed Mandrake, and all went well. No errors, all looks good.
BUT the SB16PNP (ISA)
card doesn't seem to "work". That is, I get no errors that it can not find
the card, or any other errors
but no sound no matter what I do. Tried playing an audio CD and no luck...

I went through the list archives, and checked out my isapnp.conf file and
all looks well inside that.
Does anyone have any ideas?

My SB is configured for IRQ 5, DMA1/5, I/O 0220, 0330, 0388 (according to
Win98 System Properties
for my SB).

Also are there any TV viewer drivers/software available for Linux? I have
a TV tuner card, and it would
be nice to be able to use this. It is an ADS Channel Surfer (if anyone is
familiar with the brand).

Finally -- no luck with my internet connection. I use a cable modem with
ethernet card (like there is
any other way, right...), but I'll try out some of the tips found in the
mailing list archives and see what
happens.

Is there such a thing as a Win98 emulator for Linux? It would be nice to
be able to use some of my
Windows software that isn't available for Linux.

Thanks for your help!

Regards,

Mohammed
