I am slapping together another system here..with an OPTI 929 w/proprietary SONY controller and Sony CDU33A Creative CD-Rom. The mobo is old enuff to NOT support CD-Rom boot...so I made a boot.img floppy and tried. It failed on the CD-Rom mount to install MDK 6.0...and therefore I can't install...:( The CD's supported are CDU31, and CDU5X, also Creative/Panasonic, but NONE of the choices work...I tried AUTOPROBE on all. Does anyone have some newbieized info for me?
