[newbie] Problems connection with Telnet

I have installed Linux Mandrake 6.5.  Before that Red Hat 6.0 worked fine.
The problem with Mandrake is that I can not connect using telnet from the
network or from the linux machine.  When I try telnet in the linux machine
console it goes like this:

Trying 208.249.80.150...
Connected to linux.bufete-emmanuelli.com
Connection closed by foreing host.

What can I do?
