First of all, PLEASE turn off HTML. It doesn't look nearly as nice
under KMail as it does on Outlook Express...
Second, you have to unpack it and then either compile or run the
install script, if one is included. To do this, open up a console
window and type "tar xvf gnome-chess-2.2.0.tar" (minus quotes.) It
should then put the resulting files in a directory called
"gnome-chess-2.2.0" (again, without quotes.) Go into that directory
and look for a "readme" or "README" file. That's where you'll get the
instructions on how to install the program. There MAY be an install
script that you run, if not, you'll have to compile the program, and
there should be step-by-step instructions included there in the
README file.
