I want to run Xscreensaver when I'm logged on as root, and it refuses to do so. It works OK when I'm logged on as a user. According to the man page, there's a way around this, but the assumption is that I'm running xdm. That made me realize that I don't know which ?dm is running, x, g, or k! I did a just-about-everything install of Mandrake 7.0.2 with an automatic startup of X. Can you tell me which ?dm I'm running? -- Lane ____ Lane Lester / Madison County, Georgia USA Using Linux to get where I want to go...
