In case your modem ISN"T a winmodem....as far as I know...COM ports
don't go any higher
then 4 in Linux. Is it a Plug and Play? (I had trouble with my US
Robitics 56K Pnp modem till
I got PNP off) Can you manually hardware your modem to use either COM 1,
2, 3, or 4?
