I started with "UNIX for Dummies", that was three years ago.
It's a lot of fun to read but it can also teach you a lot.
Meanwhile I'm a UNIX admin myself :-)
Still lots to learn, though, but with the " ... for Dummies"
books it's at least fun and amusing and gives you an easy start.
You should give "Linux for Dummies" or "Unix for Dummies" a try.
