Are you on a local area network? If you use kppp to log on to the Internet,
you need to click on setup from kppp, then select the account you're using and
edit, then click on the 'DNS' tab, then make sure the box "Disable existing DNS
servers during connection" is checked. This will make sure that your browser
isn't searching your own computer to resolve hosts on the internet. (Wouldn't
hurt to make sure this box is checked no matter what.)
