OK, Andy, calm down a bit. Try giving the list some info about your system
(hardware, peripherals etc.) We may be able to help. You're right: this
AIN'T windoze!! But with a little work, you'll find it's far more stable,
powerful, useful and fun.
For your internet problem, try editing your /etc/resolv.conf
add the following lines:
search <your isp>
nameserver <dns#>
nameserver <dns#> (Your isp should give two dns#'s)
Persevere just a bit more and it might pay off.
