Actually, I had the same problem - Netscape acknowledges the problem, and advises to use a different color depth - I opted to just put up with it and have been using black-and-white Nutscrape w/ 24-bit color. However, just today I tried a new desktop theme (using Enlightenment window manager), and I now have Nutscrape in living color! I'm still in 24-bit color, not sure how this happened...
