Hi I have been running Slackware for several years and configuring it is no problem cos I am used to it. I installed Mandrake 7 and it really is brilliant and booted straight into X but now for some reason it does not. Please en my misery. Also there is no rc.inet1 as in Slackware to initiate communication between the kernel and my amateur radio programs using pointopoint and slattach.
