If you are already up and running with Linux, then edit /etc/lilo.conf and
add the line
append="mem=256M"
That should help. Sometimes it seems, you need to put 1 meg less there, so
"mem=255M"
If you are not sure about futzing with lilo.conf right off, you can try it
at boot: time. When Lilo comes up, type
linux append="mem=256M"
then hit enter.

This is usually resolved by setting up Samba. I have only heard about
that, and seen it in action, never implemented it (I have 2 linux machines
here, oh blessing :)
Good luck,
