[newbie] The whole GCC thing yesterday and before

Well I just broke down and did it.

I put the CD in and started a reinstall.  Instead of doing a resintall
though, I chose Expert, Development, and then UPGRADE!!  Then I went through
and checked all of my packages again.  Only took about 30 minutes and I was
done.



Everything went it in great.  when I rebooted the server I just had to
uncomment somethings in /etc/hosts.allow and restart my services.
