  What other OS were you running?
   If you were running Windows reinstall it and it will rewrite you MBR and
auto boot your Win OS.
   If you made a Linux boot dist verify that you can boot
to Linux from it otherwise after reinstalling Windows you will have to
reinstall Mandrake.
   Another option is if you can boot into Linux now is to do so,  log-on as
root and issue the kill lilo command, restart your ststem and your first OS
should boot.
