Andrew....you need to boot up with the windows rescue disc
(the floppy made during windows installation).  It wiil
eventually leave you at a dos prompt.  At that dos prompt
type:

fdisk /mbr

Then reboot the system (ctl-alt-del) and you should come up in
windows.  To boot linux use the boot floppy made during the
linux install.  If all this works we can then go on to see if
we can get both os's to boot from the hard drive.
