hello all !

i have the problem that i want to use a program that obviously only works as
root user, as a non-root user.....im speaking of kvoice, the fax sender......i
configured it as root and im able to send and receive faxes as root......but
when starting it as another user i always get errors that my fax text couldnt be
saved and that the system cant find faxrunq.
i already made 2 files fax.allow and fax.deny and added my usernames so this
case is out.
now for the first prob i know that it has something to do with file
permissions, i know that kvoice wants to spool the faxes to /var/spool but
obviously it cant.....i tried all possible combinations of permissons, making
the spool and fax dir to my users group and changing ownership, the error
message remains
the second error is obvious.....as a non-root user i havent set the path to
this faxrunq file in my $PATH...
now my questions would be following :

1) how do i have to set permissons in order to have kvoice working as a
non-root user...

2) is it good to add the path to faxrunq to my $PATH (security concerns ?) and
if yes, where can i do that......

hope u can help me..
