P.S. My Osborne ran as quick and more stable that Win98. It didn't do as
much and was MUCH less infuriating. Now, if I could get Linux configured so
that I could get on with it. It's like my first evening working with
WordStar: work five minutes, and then read thirty minutes to find out either
how to undo a mistake I made or how to do the next thing.
No, linux is taking much more time. WordPerfect and StarOffice won't
work together; I've given up on StarOffice. Now I'm having trouble
configuring sound. Lothar or sndconfig both error out with an error in an
isapnp call. "Don't know what to do with (lines?) 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, or
15 on or about line 453." "/etc/isapnp.conf:453 -- fatal no action
taken" And that file shows failed on next boot. This if for a SoundBlaster
AWE64. I have more research to do. -Gary-
