Hi Charles,

So far so good. I have resized the partition to about 2 Gig. Next, I rebooted
the computer. The install appeared to proceed okay, then...
I think I missed a step. The penguin icon appeared at the top left corner of the
screen. It was followed by a number of lines reading my drive types etc. Then, I
was able to write down the last few lines:

hdb: drive not ready
hdb: status error: status: 0x00 {}
        unable to read partition table
hdd:hdd: lost interrupt
hdd: lost interrupt
hdd: lost interrupt
hdd: lost interrupt
hdd: lost interrupt
hdd: lost interrupt

An so on...

I am sure that success is just around the corner. I had to reboot back to
Win98SE.
