Dear all,
I re-start my computer today. While I try to login from the KDE login
screen, the screen just flash once and seems the X reset, then bring me
back to the login screen. I try to login as a normal user , or root,
both
same. I can login to the text console but just can't login to my KDE but
everything are OK yesterday. (I just install KDE).
Finally, I beleive that there is a problem of *sound* while KDE startup.
I
set some sound while the KDE start. I found some msg. in the file
.xsession-errors, in the home dir.
kaudioserver: Catching fatal X IO Error. Cleaning up.

kwmsound: Failed connecting the audio server.
Please check manually if you can start kaudioserver.
This is form the normal user but root has "kwmsound: Failed connecting
the
audio server.
Please check manually if you can start kaudioserver." message also.
I believe that the kaudioserver get into trouble. However, it ask me to
"check manually" but I can't as I can't login in X and there are no man
pages, info, doc.... about kaudioserver.
I 've run sndconfig, and mpg123, and I think my sound card and the
setting
are right. And the message in /var/log/message also tell me:
May 22 02:55:10 localhost sound: sound
May 22 02:55:10 localhost sound:
May 22 02:55:10 localhost rc: Starting sound succeeded
Would anyone kindy tell me whatz happented? Is it really the problem
about
the kaudioserver and anything else? Am I did anything wrong and how can
I
fix them up?
Thank you very much!
