I found that configuring DSL with mandrake 7 was much
easier then in windows. I am using UselessWorst and
have the Cisco external router.

Everything you need to get it working is in the
network configuration section of DrakConf.

In "Basic Host Information" you set your IP address
(or set DHCP if you have dynamically assigned IPs),
choose the adapter for your ethernet card, and assign
your net mask.

In "name server specification" you tell linux the IP
address of you DNS servers.

In "Routing and Gateways" under the "set" section you
assign your gateway IP address (you'll probably only
use this if you have static IPs).

and assuming that you (or linux) chose the correct
kernel module for your NIC card in the "basic host
information" section, and that there are no problems
from the router outward all should be good.

Good luck!!
