That's odd... I don't really know enough about what's going on in the
background to give you any good advise :-(
I can tell you that I'm using Mandrake 7.1 beta, maybe there's something in
there that's working better? When I first loaded Quake2, I had some trouble
getting the graphics to work correctly; after upgrading some programs from
cooker (I don't remember which ones exactly) I just happened to start quake up
again and everything worked fine. I know that doesn't help a whole lot, but
it's all I've got.
