I have the document root: /home/kit/public_html/
I log into my linux box as a realuser(not root)...and
run things from there.
I have apache 1.3.12
I'm trying to setup Ultraboard messageboard v. 1.62
in /home/kit/public_html/cgi-bin/
but for some reason, I can't run the "setup.pl"
file from within the cgi-bin...the error comes up...
file not found...404...but I know its there.
I've checked to make sure all permissions are set right.
I can install/run a UBB (Ultimate Bulletin Board)
trial version, from within a directory called:
/home/kit/public_html/KitsHome/cgi-bin/
WHY is this? why can't I install/run a board from
within /home/kit/public_html/cgi-bin/
doesn't make sense...
I have the server's alias cgi script directory,setup as...
/home/kit/public_html/cgi-bin/
