:~> Hi Denis
:~>
:~>I've seen reports that the release of LM7.1 has been delayed.

AFAIK, 7.1 has been the first (our) distro which has NOT been delayed. :-)
Technically, 7.1 "beta" looks very nice now, and I am not avare of any
newly found problems which could delay the official release. I do not
really know (or even care that much) when will the "official" release is
scheduled, but I can tell you one thing: WE ARE AHEAD OF THE
SCHEDULE. :-))

I wonder where have you found the "7.1 delayed" message... Rumors are
great, I should start some myself. How about:

"I heard that Microsoft has stopped all the developement on furthure
windows versions, and concentrating the efforts on a BSD-based distro with
propriatery graphical shell a-la Apple. The distro should be able to run
all the linux progs, and first public beta is scheduled for august
2000."

Waa, I am really good at this - this is not only a rumor, but it can also
start a flamewar along the "BSD licence is evil, GNU is the king of
the alley" ;->

(Before you get too emotional, the above microsoft story is just a product
of my sick imagination.)

:~>Is there any chance of it being released before Linux Expo 2000 in London on
:~>1st and 2nd of June.

No idea. I do not bother much about the "sales&marketing" part of the
buiss. And even if I knew it for sure, i would probably not be allowed to
leak the info, so do not ask. .-)

What i can tell is: if you badly want to test the 7.1 ahead of the crowd,
fetch the ISO image of 7.1 beta3 from tucows (Ups. Not there yet? Well, I
have just posted them a notice to take a look at the problem. Maybe they
just need more time to sync...).

DO NOT FETCH BETA2 ISO IMAGE. IT IS OLD, OBSOLETE, AND HAS SEVERAL REALLY
BAD KNOWN BUGS.
