I'm trying to install Mandrake 7.0 on a Windows 95 machine with two HD's and
a Cyrix 233 chip. It boots OK and gets to initialising the CD Rom but always
falls over at
in second stage install
-X11 TransSocketUNIXConnect : Can't connect : errno = 111
-X11 TransSocketUNIXConnect : Can't connect : errno = 111
(Date and time) Gtk WARNING ** cannnot open display = :0 at /usr/bin/perl -
install / my-gtk.pm line 139
install exited abnormally
I've found one other posting with the same error message and the only bit of
kit we have in common is the CPU (his was a 150Mhz) The only reply he got
was to try a text install.
How?
As you can see I haven't got past the first hurdle yet so assume I know
nothing.
Thanks in advance
Pete Taylor.
