Hi Olly and all,
I think I have figured part of this out now. PoPy... well, the Py stands
for Python, a programming language. Zope must be some kind of program. And
ZPoPyDA (DA - Database Adapter) is some kind of plugin for the Zope
program to make it possible to access a postgresql (probably some form of
SQL). And ZPoPyDA is thus written in Python.
This is worrying! I think I understand this!
But then, things on a command line can look scary too. Ever seen a
commandline for AWK?
This morning I used something 'simple' that is really powerful. I had to
copy 5 files to a separate directory. So, big deal. Since I am a keyboard
junkie I don't mouse things around, and to run MC for that... nah...
The 5 files were in a set from "image001" through "image015". I needed to
copy #5 through 9. This is where the unix magic happens:
cp image00[56789].jpg <destination>
This copied exactly what I wanted. Try that in plain Dos. (No cheating, so
no 4DOS, NDOS etc!!)
