True...also when you transfer files from windows to LM you have to check the 
properties of the file and change it accordingly. For e.g I have a data set 
with .xyz extension and LM read it as an executable file so I checked off 
the exec in the file properties and the icon changed to a paper style.

There should be no problem in accessing Win partition. I have moved 500MB 
file from Win to LM w/ no problems.  That time I had not setup my ZIP yet so 
I transfered all files to Win partition then to LM.
