Hi all:
I'm having problems with my X interface. I can login in text mode but the
startx would give me a blinking screen.
I checked out www.xfree86.org and found that my chipset "Trident Blade 3D"
is supported. However, i followed the instructions to set it up using
xf86config to no avail.
My Trident Blade 3D chipset is intergrated into the motherboard. Does this
make a difference then? I mean from a separate video card?
My monitor is a Compaq 15" MV520.
I'm trying to isolate the problem first before going out to get a video
card. If I get video card (compatible with Linux) and solves that problem
would be great but if not I don't want to spend anymore $$$ and will get the
same errors.
