How did you install the new version? Through an RPM?
If so, you can do (as root)
rpm -e <name of rpm you want removed>
and then put in the Mandrake CD and do
rpm -i /mnt/cdrom/Mandrake/RPMS/<qt-rpm you want installed again>
That should take care of things.
