[newbie] X 4.0 and imwheel not allowing ZAxisMapping !!

I tried to insert into XF86Config the following statement to get my wheelmouse
to work

ZAxisMapping 4 5


X won't startup - it says that the above is an illegal statement, or somewthing
like that..It worked fine in X 3.5 and other versions
Any Ideas?
