Hi Patti,

Welcome to our humble news group. Although, MDK7.1 is using Grub, you
can still edit /etc/lilo.conf.
If you would like to add your RAM settings:
A) Log in as 'root', and open /etc/lilo.conf by right clicking on the
file
B) Select Text Editor. Navigate to the line:

append=" Failsafe "

C) Add the following, so that the line appears as:

append="Failsafe mem=256M"

Save the file and restart Linux.

Now, due to some limitations in the present kernel, you may have to
adjust the value to 254M. This limitation will be addressed in future
kernels. By the way, you will be able to update the kernel.
