Hi again Mike,
I had this problem also. I first uninstalled the thing, made sure no
.gaim and .gaimrc files were left in ~/ and then I installed the latest
version, 0.9.20, after which it worked. You can get the latest version at
www.marko.net/gaim, compiling and setting it up was really simple.
Better add paulnl1960, instead of paul1960 *grin*
Paul as my name, nl as in Netherlands, and indeed, 1960 as year of
birth. Either that or the number of split personalities. I'll ask
myself. *g*
