Hey! wait till RedHat 7.0 is out in full release. The beta has a better
implementation of gnome, also provides the option for XFree86 3.3.6 or
4.0.1, and has a huge amount of kernel tweaks to 2.2.16 that provide
features found in the upcoming 2.4 kernel.
The "sharper and prettier" problem was possibly due to the differences in
XF86, and the versions gnome...remember RH6.2 was in development a while
before MDK7.1 and just didn't include the same things.
If all distributions included the same exact versions of every app and
service provided, you'd problably see only minor differences between them.
