There is a directory in the ~/home directory called .netscape (there's a
dot in front of that which makes it hidden).
In that directory there are two file: cookies, and history.list. Three are
two things you can do:
1. delete them. Or set a cron job to do it for you on a regular basis. or
2. delete them and re-create them as a symbolic link to the null device
(use ln -s /de/null /home/username/.netscape/cookies). I'm not sure this
will work with the history file... but you can always delete the link for
that one, and let netscape re-create the real thing.
The only drawback to the second option is that you will not be able to use
stateful websites like e-commerce sites that keep track of your shopping
carts , etc. you can set up another user account specifically for visiting
these sites if you like the second option.
