I am using Mandrake 7.1 and had installed emacs from an xterm rather than
during the installation process. So I did the usual mounting of the cdrom
and then changed directories. Next I install the RPM that I needed. After I
installed it an error was returned saying
error: failed dependencies:
libXaw3d.so.6 is needed by emacs-X11-20.6-8mdk
I did a search and it returned that libXaw3d.so.6 is in
/usr/i486-linux-libc5/lib/libXaw3d.so.6
the question is how do I get emacs up and running? What do I need to do?
