The laziest way I have found to make wine work is

Right click on desktop
New application
Give it a name
Click on execute
when it asks for a program give it
wine < program name
Click ok.

I have winzip 7 running on my desktop right now like that. Unstable but it
works, partly to prove it can be done and partly because I have a stack of rtf
documents in old zip archives that I need.

Does anyone know if there is a Linux program that will unzip them?

Hope this helps.
