me thinks (thinks being the key word) that if the registry is totally gone, when you
boot in safe mode it will rebuild it as best it can.....
there are also some ways to restore a saved registry from a dos prompt
i don't know them off hand as i have only read about them, never used them.
this reminds me....
i need to update my norton rescue disk i think....
