[newbie] Is there a C++ compiler somewhere?

I need to do some C++ programming and I would prefer to do this on a Linux machine, is there a C++ compiler and editor in Mandrake-Linux?  I have Linux-Mandrake 7.1 complete.   Thanks Mark
